October of 2017, ILABA engaged Philippe Largent of Largent Government Solutions, LLC as the lobbyist to help pursue licensure. The Legislative Committee eagerly began working with Mr. Largent in this capacity, based on the limited progress made to date and the licensure bill's two prior iterations. In the short time before the onset of the 2018 legislative session, Mr. Largent helped gauge the political landscape of Illinois. The bill was revised (based on past feedback received from legislators), ILABA engaged with our bill sponsor, Rep. Dan Brady, and prepared written and oral testimony for the spring legislative session committee hearings.
