2019 ILABA Lobby Day

lobbyday

Lobby Day provide a unique and fun opportunity to meet your state legislators, educate them about your profession and support or oppose legislation impacting your profession. ILABA and other organizations such as AutismSpeaks, Easter Seals and others are supporting legislation creating a state practice and licensing act for Behavior Analysts.  Members of your profession are the best advocates to help educate legislators about the what you do and why state licensure for your profession is appropriate.

Preparation for Lobby Day:

  • First, figure out who your state legislators are and share that information with ILABA so you can be assigned to the appropriate team.Don’t know who your state representative and senator is? You can search for them here by entering in your home and work addressà https://openstates.org/il/legislators/
  • After registering, you'll receive an email with login information for the pre-Lobby Day info session that was held on Friday March 15 at 12pm. During the webinar, we provided links to legislator profiles and Springfield contact information, legislator office locations, speaking points and information to share with you legislator about the Behavior Analyst Licensing Act.
